September 2007: Ch, Ch, Change...

We’ve had a fun first year as a new business. We have been thankful for you and all our customers for the support and encouragement through your purchases, referrals and feedback. We knew this first year would be one of learning. One thing we’ve learned is that our customers love our products, but struggle with the prices quality printed materials and assembled kits require. We’ve also found that managing the order fulfillment and shipping aspects is more than we can take on as a small company with small-ish volume.

To all our customers who have purchased our kits this year, we want to first say thank you!

We've spent the last months reviewing our business model as well as your feedback. Change is required. You love our materials, but there aren't enough of "you" to support a hard copy kit shipping model. We also are constrained as to how much material we can provide based on the amount of time and cost it takes to produce printed material.

The good news? We think we've found the solution.

As part of our change for 2008, all our heritage activity guide material (and more!) will be moved to an online subscription program where you can download full-color PDFs with the same quality content and activities as we have provided in our printed guides. We will also have online activities and special resources as subscribers. The World Passports program provides you with all the benefits of the quality content, but adds things: lower price, more countries, more materials and online access anytime you want it.

We hope you are excited about our World Passports program. It will take us a few months to have it all up on our website and available, so hold tight, drink some tea and order any heritage kits you missed before they are gone. We'll send you an update soon on how to get a World Passport (or two) for your children.

Again, thanks for your support. We’d love to hear from you. If you have questions or just want to talk, call or email us.
