The kit includes a 52-page spiral bound activity guide, the storybook The Happy Dragon, a parents' program guide, unique activity materials (you supply the basic materials) and a very special handmade Miao Friendship or Courting ornament ball from China.

The activity guide includes short reading sections on different aspects of Chinese New Year as well as 11 family activities, ranging from simple to more involved activities with varying completion times from 15 to 90 minutes.
